9. MECHANICAL DRAFT SYSTEM
|
|
|
MECHANICAL
DRAFT SYSTEM
Purpose: Ensure boilers operate at maximum efficiency
by providing constant draft at all firing rates. System senses
draft and modulates fan speed as stack conditions or firing
rate change to maintain desired draft setting. System corrects
difficult venting arrangements, allows different category
appliances to be connected to a common stack and often reduces
vent size and stack height. Vent sizing is determined and
guaranteed by the manufacturer.

10. MECHANICAL COMBUSTION AIR SYSTEM
|
|

|
MODULATING
COMBUSTION AIR SYSTEM
Purpose: Provide make-up combustion air to boiler room
to match burner requirements. System senses room air pressure
and modulates variable speed fan to match combustion air to
burner firing rate by maintaining a constant room pressure.
Replaces large combustion air louvers which often introduce
excess cold air into the boiler room.

Combustion Control
Purpose:
improve air to fuel ratios by replaces typical single point
positioning (jackshaft linkage and cam controls) with Parallel
Positioning. Parallel positioning microprocessor-based technology
maintains precise independent control of air and fuel throughout
the burner's operating range. It offers a high degree of accuracy
and dependability and will maintain optimum efficiencies.
Applications: Single or dual fuel with or without FGR.
Options: Oxygen trim, multiple boiler lead-lag control,
communications

15. WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS
|
|

|
DEALKALIZER/DEMINERIALIZER
Purpose: Improve boiler feed water quality, reduce
boiler blowdown and reduce chemical usage. A chloride cycle
dealkalizer is an ion exchange process that contains a strong
base anion resin that is regenerated with salt brine and sodium
hydroxide which exchanges alkalinity, sulfates, nitrates,
carbon dioxide, and some silica for chloride ions. Dealkalizers
are recommended when the bicarbonate alkalinity exceeds 100
ppm, makeup exceeds 1,000 gallons per day and the chloride
count is below 120 PPM Demineralizer includes a strong acid
cation (regenerated with sulfuric or hydrochloric acid) unit
and strong basbase (sodium hydroxide) unit.

|
|
|
REVERSE
OSMOSIS
Purpose: Improve boiler feed water, reduce boiler blowdown
and reduce chemical usage. Uses a semi-permeable membrane
under pressure to reject dissolved salts and allow pure water
to pass through. RO is recommended for Food Processing, Sterilization,
or other applications requiring high purity water without
the use of water treatment chemicals.
